Artist Spotlight: David Dubnitsky
“Hello, my name is Dubnitsky David, I am 41 years old and I live in the Ukraine. About 7 years ago I realized that I wanted to take photos and bought a camera. I did not know how to frame a shot wisely or how to capture emotions and mood in a photo. Not knowing how to play with light, I did not understand what aesthetics were, or colouristics and rhythm. After all, I only had the technical education – a degree in engineering, and I did not even know how to draw... This is why my first photos were primitive and dull. But I did have a GREAT desire to study. I attended the workshops of the best photographers I could afford, read books on photography and watched video tutorials on retouching on the Internet. And of course I was practicing taking pictures a lot. I learned from my mistakes, corrected them and was taking pictures again and again. Gradually, it started getting better. A year later, I got my own recognizable style. Later my photos won the first prizes in the photo contests and ranked first on the photo stock sites, they were printed in international photo magazines and bought for private collections. I was getting large commercial orders and much more. Some three years ago, I realized that I had accumulated so much knowledge and experience that I wanted to share this knowledge with other photographers, and then my teaching activity began. Dozens of workshops, individual classes in different countries of the world and hundreds of online lessons.”
