Muddled Expressions
"Begin challenging your assumptions. Your assumptions are the windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in awhile or the light won't come in." -Alan Alda
We often get caught in our own little world, forgetting that the earth spins regardless of our little lives. We make our problems big; towering behemoths that consume our every thought. They feed off our worries and anxieties, in turn we worry and stress even more. A self repeating cycle, a constant state of burden.
It is only with perspective that we can wipe away the grime that muddies our world views. Perspective comes from others, we talk, we share and then we can grow. Your problems seem big? Speak with someone who has bigger problems. Your life seems bland? Talk to someone who finds excitement from the mundane. Challenge your preconceptions through discussion, through travel, for you can only see through someone else's eyes if your understand their point of view.
