Rain Delay
The sea at this time of the day looks like silver. This time of the day is when the sun sentences the end of today. The clouds turn into a mass, soft like a newborn’s skin. The sound of the waves take me away, their rhythmic coming and going hushes, silences my worries and doubts, distances my frenetic life and at this moment, I am all to myself. The infinite sky and far horizon line remind me of the universe’s vastness and immensity. How insignificant my life is, although my existence does not mean much to the world or infinite galaxies. I will not transcend history, time, generations, this is and will be all I’ll ever have so I might as well make the most out of it.
