Sleepy Heads
"This is from a series all shot in Sydney with Pascale, she is a late riser so we arrived at 1pm and was super happy to see such great light in her room. The house was busy with flatmates and her BF there and as usual I just shot and used the space I had to create the story. Pascale is super chilled and has a great look on camera. Sydney has had the hottest summer on record and that day was about 35 degrees, glad we were all inside.
This is about being who you are in your own home environment. In preparation I asked the model to provide a basic idea of how their morning rolls from the time they wake up and also ask for some images of their space.
I arrive at her wake up time and just follow what they normally do for the first hour or so.
I ask for them not to do anything special, if the house is messy then leave it that way and not to apply any make up. It is meant to be as real and honest as we can get. As I said its all about being proud of who you are and aims to capture people as candidly as possible in their own home environment." - David Collier
