Searching for a Feeling

Your goodbye is so silent like a wind being brought by the end of winter. The cold remnants you left in my cheeks damped my face, chilled me breathless —I could sense how you go. And there’s no way to hold you, never from the start we are connected. One night we’re stargazing with the moonlight the the sun came after; you brought with you the stars and disappeared in the light leaving just me with my shadow. You should’ve said something; a farewell in the version of thunderstorms that will scare the life out of mefor being far away from home, without your guiding hands. Anything. Not like this that I’m doubting if our love was even real, not like this that I am lost finding where I should stand; what I should feel.
