Soviet Jungle

Climb through the forest. Find your feet hitting the floor and trudging through the mud, with thicket brushing against your face and beetles buzzing incessantly in your direct scope of sight. You watch as small critters scurry by your ankles and disappear back into the thick greenery.  Looking onward into the depths of the woodlands you catch a myriad of eyes peering at you from every angle. But you must carry on, for your quest is to find the soviet beauty who has lost herself on this precarious path.

You contemplate as to whether its even worth it. Maybe you lose an arm, maybe even a leg, but most definitely your dignity. As each step rhythmically finds itself hitting against the bellows of the brush, your mind wrings about the residing thought of whether Kasia will even appreciate your valiant efforts. But you suppress your woes, and release your worries unto the depths of the jungle, as all you can see is her beauty in your mind's eye, which you wish to ascertain.

You find her laying peacefully in a bed of vines, which nestle her head gently upward and her body sits perfectly rested. A smile gleams from each side of her cheek as she locks into your gaze. She is not frightened, nor is she worried. She is at ease with the jungle's heartbeat. A snake crawls around her neck, hisses in your direction, and then slithers away. She laughs at how you are evidently jolted by this. She elevates herself upward and thanks you for joining her in the forest. Her eyes begin to glow like that of the jaguar in the moon light. Her walk is steady like the trees which surround you. Her scent is earthy, like the ground you have been walking on.

You come to realize - she is the jungle; and you aren't the hero.
