Artist Spotlight: Donari Braxton
Donari Braxton a.k.a Lonershigh (b.1982) is Brooklyn-based writer, filmmaker and photographer.
He's received support and awards from Sundance, Tribeca, NPR, the San Fransisco Film Society, IFP, Film Independent and Berlinale Talent Campus, amongst other institutions, and has directed commercially for such companies as HBO and Mercedes Benz.
Last year, the narrative feature that he wrote and produced, "Out of My Hand," premiered at the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival and was theatrically released by Ava Duvernay's ARRAY pictures in November 2015. He was later nominated for a Spirit Award for his work on this project. His images and editorials have appeared in such publications as GQ, Details, Playboy, and Surface magazines. He is currently based in NYC.
