Exit.Youth

The rarity of ones youth that dissipates all too soon, is what makes us hunger for it more. Soft skin, bright eyes, glowing hair and energy that could compete with the suns relentless gaze. To be free, alleviated from the pressures of expectation, to be written against not knowing any better, to ride on the beautiful and blissful wave of ignorance, in adoration of all possibilities to come. One cannot underestimate the power of adolescence. The liberation in striving for a more fruitful future. The opportunity to learn as you go, and grow as you fall. Scrape your knees, bite your lip, bump your toe, these are the things that make you stronger. No one said it was easy, and none of us expected it to be, but goddamn it the ride is thrilling and the people make it worth while. Find yourself at 3am on a warm summers night murmuring sweet nothings to lovers that were lost and friends that are never forgotten. Remember the parties, the girls, the guys, the endless inebriation, and the open-ended introspection. Youth, you beautiful bitch who left me too soon.
